Dr. Plasencia earned his Bachelor of Science from the Medical Institute of Santa Clara in Cuba in 2002 and later completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) at the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in 2015. His passion for dentistry began in high school when he joined a healthcare club, where he discovered a deep interest in delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care. After starting his medical education in Cuba, he pursued further training in the United States to fulfill his goal of becoming a dentist—demonstrating resilience, dedication, and a lifelong commitment to learning.
