Still in the Fight: Navy Veteran Andy DeMarsico Continues His Mission of Service

For some veterans, taking off the uniform doesn’t mean leaving the mission behind. For Navy veteran Andy DeMarsico, service isn’t simply something he did for 15 years. It’s who he is.

Growing up on Long Island, New York, Andy was always on the move. Whether playing lacrosse, practicing martial arts, or pursuing his passion for music, he never let the grass grow under his feet. His energy, discipline, and determination would eventually lead him to a life of service on the world’s oceans.

In 2005, Andy enlisted in the United States Navy, beginning a 15-year career that would take him across the globe, much of it spent underway aboard aircraft carriers.

These massive warships are more than military vessels. They are floating cities, supporting anywhere from 2,000 to 5,000 sailors who depend on their ship’s systems for survival, safety, and mission success. At sea, you can’t pull over when something goes wrong. Every sailor must be prepared to respond, and every second matters.

Andy served on the Damage Control Training Team (DCTT), helping prepare sailors to respond to emergencies that could threaten the ship, its mission, or the lives of those aboard.

This dedication to readiness, resilience, and protecting lives has led Andy to what he does today. Andy serves as a Neuro Technician with eTMS Florida, where he continues his dedication to helping those who have spent their lives serving others.

In March 2025, Andy completed training in DSI-24 EEG technology and MeRT Cortical Treatment, preparing him to support individuals seeking innovative approaches to neurological health and wellness.

Through eTMS Florida, eligible veterans, first responders, and law enforcement personnel can access services free of charge, giving them the opportunity to explore treatment without the added burden of financial barriers.

For Andy, the work is deeply personal. He understands the culture of service, the demands of high-stress environments, and the challenges that can follow someone long after their military career ends.

And sometimes, the greatest victories happen far from the battlefield. One experience stands out in Andy’s mind.

A Vietnam veteran came through the program after struggling with sleep for decades. For approximately 50 years, restful sleep had remained elusive, a challenge that had followed him long after his service ended.

Following treatment, the veteran shared something extraordinary.

“He reported the best sleep in 50 years,” Andy recalled.

While individual experiences don’t guarantee treatment outcomes, stories like this show why Andy believes so strongly in the mission.

For someone who has spent years struggling, even a single meaningful improvement can represent a renewed sense of hope.

When asked what the future holds, Andy didn’t hesitate.

“I always want to stay in the fight.”

Those words capture the spirit of a veteran who understands that service doesn’t end with retirement, separation, or the final salute.

The battlefield may have changed, but the mission remains the same: protect lives, support those in need, and never leave a fellow warrior behind.

Andy hopes to continue helping people while increasing awareness of eTMS therapy and the services available to those who have sacrificed so much.

There is something particularly powerful about his perspective on time.

Time is the one thing we can never get back.

For veterans who have spent years navigating challenges tied to their service, the chance to reclaim meaningful moments, better rest, stronger relationships, or simply enjoy everyday life is invaluable.

From the decks of Navy aircraft carriers to the treatment rooms of eTMS Florida, his commitment has never wavered. His mission has evolved, but his purpose remains firmly anchored in service to others.

Once a sailor. Always a warrior. Forever committed to the mission.
