Josh Porthouse is a Marine Corps Reservist with 14 years active duty. Deploying to both humanitarian aid and combat deployments to numerous regions in the world, Josh has learned a few things. While most of those lessons learned from his time in the Marine Corps Infantry aren’t acceptable in most social circles, his experiences involving the depth of the human condition; character development; and self-reliance fit just about any conversation.
To prove his point, Josh has designed his start-up media company, SDYT Media, around deviating from the norm in westernized culture to discounting healthy boundaries to better instigate self-worth. He host his keystone podcast, Transacting Value, alongside contributors on the show each week to discuss how values still hold value, and to digitize the great American Values Playbook for the world.
In his endeavor to build the number one, globally recognized, licensable podcast about educating, empowering, and encouraging self-worth through value systems, he recently joined Team FireWatch as a contributing author for the Veteran Voices series. He brings his perspective and millennial bias to answer questions each month, then adds value with insight from other veterans on topics.
