Kristy Verdi, PhD, is a retired public school educator and leader in the service-learning field. In 2020, she founded Learn and Serve Tampa, Inc. to support youth service and service-learning.
By building partnerships between schools, nonprofits, and businesses, Learn and Serve Tampa, Inc. is able to host volunteer opportunities for Tampa Bay youth on the three National Days of Service.
Learn and Serve Tampa, Inc. provides K-12 youth with opportunities for meaningful community service and empowers youth to be service leaders in their community. “We envision a world in which service opportunities are readily available, accessible, and inclusive, and provide spaces for developing leadership skills and civic engagement in personally meaningful community service.” – K. Kristy has been married to Russ for 37 years and has two sons, Zack and Tucker.
