A Day in the Life of Sencha and Jasmine

The sun peeks over the horizon, casting a golden glow across the quiet house. At the first sign of light, Sencha, the ever-thoughtful Border Collie, opens one eye. The ball lies beside her—of course. She pads softly across the room and gently nudges it toward the nearest human. Friend or stranger, it doesn’t matter. If you have a hand, you qualify to play.

Ball-chasing is serious business. Between naps on the cool floor and quiet moments watching the world through the window, Sencha stays ever-vigilant. A single bounce of the ball transforms her from serene philosopher to joyful sprinter.

Meanwhile, Jasmine, the spirited Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, remains close to her human—her favorite place in the world. Whether it’s snuggles, treats, or just being near the action, she knows exactly how to get what she wants. A glance, a gentle nudge, or a single paw tap says everything.

When a squirrel dares cross into the yard, Jasmine springs to life—a flurry of determination and fluff. But once the intruder retreats, she returns to her rightful spot beside her human, satisfied with another job well done.

As night falls and the house quiets, Sencha claims her spot at the foot of the bed, content after a full day of fetch and companionship. Jasmine climbs up, gives a soft sigh, and curls into her own pillow—right by her human’s head. It’s more than a place to sleep. It’s her throne.
