9/11 MEMORIAL COMMUNITY PLACEMENT EVENT & VIGIL
TO HONOR THOSE LOST ON SEPTEMBER 11. 2001
LAND O’LAKES, FL—The 2nd Annual 9/11 Memorial Placement Event will occur on:
Saturday, September 7, 2024, beginning at 8:00 AM
Learn and Serve Tampa, FireWatch Magazine, The American Legion Post 108, Rosebud Continuum, community members, local schools, and youth organizations will gather on Saturday, September 7, 2024, to place 2977 placards representing the individuals who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.
Starting at 8:00 AM at Rosebud Continuum, 22843 Hale Rd., Land O’Lakes, FL 34639, community members are invited to place 2977 placards, each representing a person who perished in the tragic events of 9/11/2001. Placard placement will result in a 200 x 100-foot American Flag. In addition to the memorial placement, the event will feature interactive learning centers, vendors, non-profit organizations, veteran and first responder service organizations, music, and collaboration among attendees. Special guests include Tribute to the Troops who will present the Florida Fallen Memorial, commemorating Floridians who have died in the War on Terror.
This event serves as a meaningful way for our community to come together to honor and remember those who have been impacted by the events of September 11, 2001. It is an opportunity for individuals to pay their respects and reflect on the impact of that fateful day.
On September 11, 2024, at 7:00 PM, The American Legion Post 108 will host an evening vigil at the Memorial Site at 22843 Hale Rd., Land O’Lakes, FL 34639.
